Bye bye birdy…for now

Posted on

About a week ago I saw my first robin of the year.  That usually cheers me up because it means the onset of spring.  However on this particular day it was snowing heavily and the little fellow was shivering under a tree.  So I picked him up, put him on a southbound plane and told him to wait a bit.

  2. Haven’t seen any robins yet, but I did see a red-winged blackbird at the feeder this morning. That’s a very early sighting for them. Usually don’t see them until late spring. Guess this one got confused too!

    • Yes there are a lot of red-winged blackbirds and now the Canada Geese are starting to arrive. It’s starting to get a little more like spring so I guess they’ll be fine. Although there still might be one more snow storm!
